2024 IT Society Thanksgiving Dinner

A free Thanksgiving evening with the IT Society family, with a delicious meal, good company, a look at our internship program, and a conversation on “AI: Beyond the Hype”.

A big family around the table

We are a big family, and Thanksgiving felt like the perfect time to show it. Members, friends, and families filled the hall for an evening of good food, warm conversation, and plenty of reasons to be thankful.

Along with dinner, we looked back at the internship program at IT Society: its key objectives, the outcomes our interns achieved, and a well-deserved thank-you to all of the intern managers who made it possible. Our interns even prepared a short movie for the audience.

AI: Beyond the Hype

One of the main topics of the night was “AI: Beyond the Hype.” In a relaxed, fireside-style conversation, the speakers set aside the headlines and talked about what AI means in practice for the people building technology today and for those planning their next career move.

Questions from the audience kept the discussion going well after the session wrapped up.
